°µÍø¸£Àû is currently applying sealant aggregates to the Marble Bar Airport runway in Western Australia. Also known as Corunna Downs, the airstrip served as a vital base for aircraft during World War II. The base material and sealing aggregates for the airstrip update were supplied from our Tabba Tabba Quarry and delivered by our Super Quads earlier this month. We are supplying the construction materials and the sealing aggregates, for this 86,000m2 airstrip and it is no mean feat. Remotely located approximately 1,500 kilometres northeast of Perth, the two-day drive ends in a place ‘known as the hottest town in Australia’, and that’s according to the Guinness Book of Records. 
From a small dirt airstrip at Marble Bar, a twokilometre runway was developed with the upgrade enabling 100-seater aircraft transporting FIFO workers from around the country to support mine activities in WA’s Pilbara Region.
