Business assurance marketing campaign

Project description

As the new marketing director at a telecommunications company, I was tasked with boosting lagging business sales. Previous campaigns relied heavily on special offers and discounts. We wanted to break the incentives cycle fearing it would de-value our product. After reviewing a typical business contract, I proposed eliminating a “business failure” fee. This policy made the client accountable to paying the contract in full if they went bankrupt. I built a campaign around the removal of this policy by producing sales handouts, billboard graphics, radio spots, and introducing a Twitter support strategy.

The message had significant and quick results, resonating well so soon after the recession hit. After two quarters, we experienced a 455% increase in sales based on the “Business Assurance” campaign. I recall one sales executive telling me that their client was so appreciative of this penalty elimination that they responding with a very heartfelt “thank you” and handshake.

I conceptualized the campaign, wrote all copy, and designed all materials. The marketing hat trick!
